Preschool
Teacher Pam and Teacher Sierra are excited to be the teachers of this year’s Preschool classes. Teacher Michelle is the assistant of Preschool P and Teacher Seije is the assistant in Preschool S. This year is an exciting and fabulous year for the little ones who now have become more independent and confident to interact in a social setting apart from home. With the children’s curious minds and busy bodies, our days will certainly be filled with sensorial and tactile activities. In our play, we will inquire and discover about many new things relating to Senses, Stories around the World, Light and Living Things and connect them to our daily life experiences.
Although we continue to recall our discoveries on Senses, Stories, and Light, we have started our inquiry on Living Things. Our central idea is: People interact with minibeasts in their natural environment in different ways.
We will find out about the characteristics of minibeasts, how they adapt to their environment, and our responsibility towards minibeasts.Through this inquiry, the children will have the opportunity to become inquirer, risk-taker and caring. Our activities will encourage them to be respectful and tolerant.
As the children explore, they will learn how to formulate questions, make observations, cooperate in a social setting, and acquire knowledge in different ways. We will have a lot of outdoor trips to have the chance to explore and interact with living things.
