Welcome to the Grade 2 class
Thank you for visiting our web page :)
We are a class of 16 students and 1 teacher who are from many areas of the world. We come from Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, USA, UK, India, Korea and Australia. We all bring a different experiences and perspective to the classroom, which makes our learning so varied and rich. .jpg)
We are immersed in six Units of Inquiry during the year, with Mathematics, Language, ICT and The Arts integrated around the central idea and lines of inquiry we are exploring. This approach aims to make learning as hands on and meaningful as possible. We are fortunate to be able to view our world through 'global eyes' by learning with and from everyone in Grade 2, our school, our parents, the wider community, books and the internet.
We develop a broad range of academic and personal skills, abilities and knowledge during the year. Our classroom encourages reflection on our actions and learning and we are learning to set personal and class goals and take responsibility for the progress towards these.
Term Two sees us exploring two Units of Inquiry:
Houses and Homes - Communities around the world build thier homes to suit their environment and lifestyle.
It's Off To Work We Go - The community provides work for various people to help meet basic human needs and wants.
