Grade 4 students in the library. The mission of the International School of Busan (ISB) library program is to ensure that students are effective users of ideas and information by establishing programs that promote literacy appreciation and information skills.
The ISB library aims to be a learning space in which everyone is invited to develop her/his potential. It is a place where students become more knowledgeable, growing both intellectually and emotionally.
Among other roles, the librarian is more than happy to help you locate internal and external resources you might need as a way to increase literacy levels. Such resources include well-known encyclopedias to specific databases without forgetting inspiring, educational fiction books for you to make the most out of the present and the future.

Library System Information
Destiny™ is a state-of-the-art library automation system. The library catalogue (along with its tools) is an effective way to locate internal as well as external resources quickly. Also, every book and resource material at ISB is part of the system. Each piece is catalogued and bar-coded with a unique ISB BUSA barcode number, and each student and staff member is assigned a unique ISB library user barcode number.
Searches can be made by using either of the following key words: Author’s name; Title of the book; Subject of the book; Barcode of the book; Key Word.

Students also have access to QUESTIA and OXFORD ART ONLINE

Students at ISB are encouraged to borrow and read books, and to study and relax quietly; perhaps appreciating the educational magazines they have access to in the library during these times.
Remember, no matter where you come from, no matter where you will go next, the ISB library, along with the ISB staff, will always welcome your curiosity and your explorer spirit!
Please, do not hesitate to ask the librarian for assistance if you have any questions or comments, either in person or by e-mail: library@isbusan.org
