ISB is a modern international school functioning within a global society that relies heavily upon communication and technology. We encourage as often as possible the integration of technology into learning, particularly in the Mathematics Department. The High School Mathematics Programme at ISB is a technology-rich learning environment, where computers and learning are partnered together. Our teachers combine technology to help deliver stimulating lessons that engage students. Our goal at ISB is to make mathematics a fun and exciting learning experience.
Some of our resources include:
- powerpoint presentations that more clearly define key learning outcomes
- modern, colorful texts that include an interactive CD with e-book
- advanced graphing software
- a classroom projector that enables teachers to clearly illustrate important concepts
- the use of graphing calculators
The High School Math Programme begins with the Cambridge IGCSE (extended) curriculum in Grades 9/10, and concludes with the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Grades 11/12. As an IB school, we are proud to say that we have three offerings for IBDP Mathematics: Maths Studies (SL), Maths Standard (SL), and Maths Higher (HL).
