High School - Korean
High School Korean for Koreans
Grade 9 and 10 - IGCSE Korean
In Grade 9 and 10 we focus on the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) syllabus in order to prepare students for IGCSE examinations. There are two Korean IGCSE exams,
Grades 11 & 12 - IB Korean
In Grades 11 and 12 students can take Korean as part of their IB Diploma. There are several possibilities depending on a student's level of Korean and where the student wishes to target their strengths when they are selecting their options.
All students have to choose a Language A and a Language B. For example, a student with Korean as their first language would choose to do Korean as their Language A option and use their English or Spanish as Language B. Students can also do two Language A exams (eg Korean and English) and so achieve a special bilingual certificate. Such decisions can be difficult to make, so at the start of the course students are advised and guided to make the best decisions regarding their Korean options for IB.
For further information about IB Korean at ISB please contact the school and we will be happy to discuss it and provide further information.
