High School - Art

High School Art
Students in Grades 9 and 10 at ISB study the IGCSE Programme.  Afterward, in Grades 11 and 12, they take on the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).  Within each of these programs, students are encouraged to communicate, develop, and explore different ideas, concepts and art mediums, whilst showing sensitivity and sophistication in their practice.  Throughout these courses of study, students at ISB analyse and question themselves and others, as well as the world around them, in order to make meaningful and interesting works that demand attention and thought.

By the end of Grade12, students hold an exhibition, where they discuss and talk about their work, their progress and individual development, and their place within the world.  Their exhibition is moderated by an IB examiner, a challenging experience for all students; but as Henri Matisse once said “creativity takes courage".

This website is a developing school project which aims to provide a virtual exhibition space for student work. There is already a large quantity of High School art work on display and as it becomes better established there should be much more in the near future. Please visit www.isbcreative.org.
