College Counseling at the International School of Busan
Welcome to Career Guidance Services at the International School of Busan (ISB). The purpose of the Career Guidance Counselor and the services provided at ISB is to assist students in the process of identifying both courses and universities that are appropriate for ISB student university and career plans. Students at ISB have the opportunity to consult with the Career Guidance Services Counselors, IB Coordinator, their teachers and homeroom teachers, as well as education officers from embassies and consulates in their efforts to find the university/ies that best serve their needs.

The Careers Guidance Counselors at ISB will assist students with: 

Clarifying the factors most important to each individual student in choosing a course and university right for him/her;
The university application process;
Filling in application forms when necessary;
Providing information and coordinating standardized testing, such as the SAT
Corresponding with universities on their behalf when necessary;
Couriering application forms when necessary. However, please note that all courier fees will be billed to the student;
Providing universities with letters of recommendation and academic transcripts;
Setting up rehearsal interviews;
Arranging for final academic results to be relayed directly to universities (provided enough notice is given) 

The process of choosing and applying for universities is a long one that requires the proactive approach of both the student and his/her parents. The ISB Career Guidance Services team is available to assist students and their parents in their university research endeavors.
