Fernando Alvarez has 30 years of experience in education. He has worked at the International School of Caracas in Venezuela, 2 public schools in Virginia and Georgia in the US, and the International School of Stuttgart in Germany. Fernando has a Bachelor’s degree in Languages and a minor in Psychology from Texas A&M University. Also, he has an international TEFL certificate, a certificate in translation (English-Spanish-English), and a Negotiation and Conflict Resolution credential from Simon Bolivar University in Caracas, Venezuela. Fernando also holds a K-12 Spanish teaching certificate from the state of Texas, and he is currently finishing his Master’s degree in Management and Strategic Operations. In his free time, Fernando likes to exercise, practice martial arts, read, go to the beach, go fishing, play tennis, and spend time with his wife and two sons. Fernando has been working at Busan International Foreign School since 2012.
