Snow

Well, it had to happen at BIFS with the weather turning so cold this week on the Korean Peninsula – SNOW! It came down quite heavily at school for approximately 45 minutes. I have never seen so many students rush to the soccer pitch during break time in the depths of winter to play! It was a truly fabulous site to witness. We had students in grade 10 and 11 making ‘snow’ angels on the soccer pitch matched with snowball fights – lovely to see true enjoyment from such a variety of ages.

BIFS Grade 10 Subject Selection Evening

Many thanks to those parents and students who attended the Grade 10 Subject Selection night on Wednesday evening. It was a great opportunity to hear from the academic leaders in the school how important this decision is for the students. All who attended were given an outline of the IB DP programme as well as how that connected to College/University choices. I have attached a link to the presentation HERE.

Grade 10 Subject Information Sessions Begin

The first session this week began on Thursday with the Language B Department delivering a very entertaining session on the nature of their subject at the DP level. The students were engaged throughout the presentation and seemed to gain a great deal from the exposure to their first IB DP Subject! More to follow over the coming week.

Intra Mural Competition

Under the watchful eye of Ms Robar, the Intra-mural competition kicked off this week in the School Gymnasium. Teams had been entered over the past weeks and the battles were about to begin! It was great to see such fierce rivalry between teams. This will continue for the coming weeks.
