After some well needed, rest the boys stepped out aginst a large HIS team and took a tight first set. Some amazing and exceptionally high-quality volleyball continued and a worried HIS narrowly took the second set forcing a third and final set. HIS produce some of the best shots of the day that proved a step too far and quickly rushed to the first place trophy. The exhausted BIFS boys had given it their all and achieved an honorable second place
Wel,l what a superb performance. While we did not come away with any silverware, the girls played superbly. The improvement in the girl’s commitment, skill level, and team play was on “show” for all to see. They rallied time and time again to ensure they fought every point out to the end. Twice they came back from a set down to win in three. At the end of the preliminary rounds, they had recorded 3 wins with only 1 loss. They lost their first semi-final match defeated by HIS, losing the third set 10-15. Unfortunately, by the time the playoff for 3 and 4 came around, the girls were exhausted. They have developed into a fighting, determined and strong team.
