Grade 6 MYP Workshops (supporting our students in transition)
One of the biggest transitions that Grade 6 students have to make to Middle School is in assessment and reporting. To help students better understand MYP assessment, they will be participating in a hands-on two-day workshop during homeroom the week of Oct. 17. A similar parent workshop will be taking place on Oct. 19. This will be a great opportunity for students and parents to exchange notes and have a conversation about assessment.
Oct. 19 MYP Parent Coffee (supporting our parents)
The Oct. 19 parent coffee will focus on assessment – What is it? Why do we do it? How does it work in the MYP? What does the MYP report tell us? Plus, any questions that you have.
Modeling good teaching and learning, this will be a hands-on fun-filled workshop. A Korean speaker will be available to help with translations. Of course, cookies and coffee will also be on hand. We look forward to your attendance. Grade 6 students will be participating in a similar activity and Grade 6 students and their parents can compare notes after the workshop.
Students will have their school pictures taken on October 24th and 25th. Please look to see the day assigned for your child’s class.
