ISB Libraries

ISB has three physical libraries – The Early Years (EY) library, The Elementary (ES) library, and the Secondary (SS) Library. These libraries have extensive print collections that are developmentally appropriate for the students they serve. In addition to our physical libraries, ISB also has a fully digital library, managed through our partnership with Overdrive and accessible with the student reading app, Sora. We aim to inspire students to love stories in any format, to spark their imagination and to empower them to learn anything they choose.

World Book Day Parade

Every year we celebrate World Book Day at ISB by enjoying a Book Character Parade! Students and teachers dressed up as their favourite characters and had a great time. Special awards were given out at the assembly to the most active borrowers and the most active book reviewer. We hope these fun experiences will make our students enjoy books more and more! #WorldBookDay

How to access SORA 1. Get the mobile app or visit soraapp.com 2. Look for International School of Busan (Korea International Schools Consortium) 3. Login with your school email address 4. Checkout books and audiobooks! If you have any problem with logging in, please contact Ms.Yuni Gysbers. (ygysbers@isbusan.org)

Free Resources

The libraries also provide teachers with ample resources to help motivate their students to engage with their subject area, as well as support the various curriculums offered by our teachers.

Besides our physical and digital collection, we also provide students and staff with access to a wide range of digital resources. Currently, our students have access to JStor, Britannica School and OneSearch. These resources cater to the needs of our youngest learners all the way through to our DP students.

Please email library@isbusan.org if you need assistance.
