Future Pathways and College Counseling

The ISB University and College Counseling/ Future Pathways program provides high school students and parents with support and guidance through all facets of the college/ university research, and application process to a variety of regions and countries around the world.The ISB University/College Counselor works with students individually and in groups to ensure that they receive pertinent information and understand how to look for good university options that match their specific criteria. Regular meetings are scheduled with different grade levels throughout the school year in order to cover all important aspects of the university and career research process as well as the university application process.

 

The University/ College Counseling program intensifies in grades 11 and 12 as students prepare to apply to universities. Students complete individualized career aptitude, personality and learning styles assessments that contribute to their individualized future planning. University visits and fairs are held throughout the school year that allow students to gather information, ask questions, and make informed decisions about their higher education journey. Students gain access to information about Summer programs and enrichment opportunities as well as support for crafting their Resumes, college essays, applications and other aspects of the university application process.
